What’s New for the 2022 EQS?
In 2022, Mercedes-Benz makes waves with the debut of its beautiful EQS. The EQS is a premium sedan loaded with cutting-edge features, and it stands apart distinctly as an all-electric vehicle. As an all-new sedan in the lineup this year, the EQS requires your undivided attention before you narrow down your all-electric sedan options.
The exterior of the 2022 EQS is undeniably sleek and modern. It shows off a chrome-on-black grille design. The grille is fluidly contiguous with the triangular LED headlights. The EQS has long accents that add a linear dimension to the façade. This is complemented by rolling flow from the nose to the trunk. Exterior features include 10-spoke wheels, heated and powered side mirrors, a power trunk release, a panoramic sunroof, and more.
Inside, the EQS shows off its Hyperscreen. This is an all-new feature for the Mercedes-Benz lineup. The Hyperscreen encompasses three display screens: the digital driver’s gauges, the central stack’s display, and the passenger’s display screen. This prominent feature gives the front of the cabin an undeniably modern feel. The EQS has an updated MBUX system with a fingerprint scanner, an auto climate control system, smart device integration, a navigation system, a push-button ignition, a heated steering wheel with various mounted controls, passenger’s entertainment features, heated seats, and more.
Two trim levels are available in the 2022 model year. The EQS 450+ has a single electric motor mounted at the rear, and it delivers 329 horsepower. If you opt for the EQS 580 4MATIC®, your sedan will have front-mounted and rear-mounted motors. These combine to give you 516 combined horsepower.
