The Mercedes-Benz GLC and GLE SUVs are both impressive vehicles that rise to exceed expectations through their capabilities and overall luxury. Four powertrains are available across the 2022 GLC’s trim levels. The starting trim level has a 255-horsepower turbo four-cylinder engine. The mid-range powertrains are a turbo V6, 385-horsepower engine, and a turbo V8, 469-horsepower engine. The top trim level comes with a high-output V8 that delivers 503 horsepower. Both front-wheel drive and 4MATIC® all-wheel drive are offered across the trim levels. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered with five powertrains across its trim levels. The base system is a turbo four-cylinder, 255-horsepower engine. Two turbocharged V6 systems are available that deliver 362 horsepower and 429 horsepower. Two turbo V8 systems produce 483 horsepower and 603 horsepower. All GLE trim levels have 4MATIC® all-wheel drive.


Both the GLC and the GLE have exceptional styling with evident familiar traits. For example, they have vertical bars running through their elongated grilles and deep, scooped contouring that subtly angles through the side panels. The GLC has an LED ribbon that encircles most of the headlights. The GLE’s headlights have a pair of hook-like LED light ribbons running across the upper perimeter. The GLE also has a more extended cabin with a raked rear and raised roof rails.


The GLC is a well-appointed crossover with features like smart device app integration, a navigation system, premium upholstery, driver’s seat memory functions, a household-style power outlet, ambient cabin lighting, forward collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, an auto parking system, and more. The GLE comes with these features. It also adds a larger central display screen, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, wireless smartphone charging, an available third row of seats, USB-C ports in the third row, and additional features.
