Performance

In both 2021 and 2022, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class draws its power from a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. However, in 2022, this engine has been upgraded with mild-hybrid technology. The result of this change is improved power with the production of 255 horsepower. For both model years, the engines are matched with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Depending on the trim level selected, both model years are available with rear-wheel or 4MATIC® all-wheel drive.

Appearance

You will notice major updates to the exterior style of the C-Class for 2022. In 2021, the C-Class is defined by an upturned grille with diamond-like, LED headlights. The side contours converge tightly, and the smooth hood is creased upward along its sides. For 2022, the C-Class has a downturned grille with sharper and more elongated headlights. The hood has several pairs of crisp accent lines tapering through it. The side panels on the 2022 C-Class have broader contour lines that flow from end to end.

Features

For both 2021 and 2022, the C-Class has the popular MBUX infotainment system. However, its processing speed is significantly faster for 2022. In addition, the infotainment system’s display screen has grown from 10.25 inches to 11.9 inches for the latest model year. Wireless device charging is added to the 2022 C-Class as well. Both model years offer active steering assist, active lane change assist, active stop-and-go assist, a premium sound system, a sunroof, heated seats and other luxuries.
