2023 EQE vs 2023 AMG® EQE

Serving Milwaukee, WI

The line of electric vehicles offered by Mercedes-Benz expanded impressively in the 2023 model year with the debut of the EQE sedan. The 2023 EQE is built on the EQS sedan’s platform and is closely related to the gas-powered E-Class. Three trim options are available for the EQE, and each one offers different performance capabilities. The top-of-the-line trim for the 2023 EQE is the AMG® EQE. Before you pick out your next all-electric luxury sedan, you understandably need to know how the AMG® EQE stands apart from the other trim levels.

Performance

The EQE 350 is the base option available. It has a 288-horsepower, single-motor system, and rear-wheel drive. The mid-level trim is the EQE 500 4MATIC®. This option has a dual-motor, 4MATIC® all-wheel drive system, generating 402 horsepower. The 2023 AMG® EQE also has a two-motor system with 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. It stands apart with its improved torque rating and its output of 617 horsepower. In addition, it is available with an adaptive air suspension system and carbon-ceramic brakes.

Appearance

Your review of the EQE’s trim levels will lead you to the exterior design. This premium sedan is defined by a flowing profile with a strong descent through the hood and a shell-like roofline. You will discover a glossy grille on the rounded nose that shows off vertical bars. Its hexagonal shape is brought to life by pointed air vents on the front bumper and LED-enhanced headlights highlighting the grille’s shape. The EQE has an aggressive definition line on the sides that underscores the door panels. The AMG® EQE’s design is comparable in most ways, but it does have some trim-specific badging.

Features

The EQE is marvelously appointed throughout all three trim levels. Its features include:

  • A push-button ignition
  • Front collision mitigation
  • Lane-keep assist
  • Eye movement tracking
  • A navigation system
  • Smart device app integration
  • Leather upholstery
  • & more

All trims also have a Hyperscreen, which gives the cabin a modern feel. This is a wraparound screen that covers the entire width of the dashboard. It offers contiguous displays for the center stack, the passenger’s entertainment features, and the driver’s gauges. The AMG® EQE is differentiated by contrast stitching, suede inserts, and a premium audio system.
