The GLE and the GLS are popular SUVs in today’s Mercedes-Benz lineup. At Mercedes-Benz of Milwaukee North, our customers are often drawn to these models’ extensive sophistication and luxury, and they inquire about their differences. Our goal is to give you all the facts you need to make a confident model selection. What can you expect from the 2023 GLE and the 2023 GLS?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE is available in five distinctive powertrains. The base option is a four-cylinder turbo engine that delivers 255 horsepower. A turbo V6, 362-horsepower engine, and a turbo V8, 483-horsepower option are also available. The top two engines are a turbo V6 that produces 429 horsepower and a turbo V8 that generates 603 horsepower. The 2023 GLS is available with three powertrains. These are the same 362-horsepower engine, 483-horsepower engine, and 603-horsepower system that are offered in the GLE.

The GLE has premium appeal with a tapered, defined hood and a chrome-accented, bar-style grille. The lower-front fascia is decorated with horizontal bars, and the LED headlights have two bent LED light ribbons. Through the sides, a prominent personality line runs between the fenders. The GLS, on the other hand, has slightly broader dimensions with a taller hood. The grille is similarly styled, but it is larger. The lower fascia has a metallic surround. In addition, the headlights have a rectangular quality with an upper LED light bar. Across the GLS’s sides, you will find deep, angled contouring.

As Mercedes-Benz models are close siblings in the lineup, there are many comparable safety and cabin features in the GLE and the GLS. For example, both models are available with a household-style power outlet, a sunroof, massaging and heated front seats, a head-up display, a surround-view camera, smart device app connections, an elite sound system, an extensive selection of driver’s assistance technologies, and more. In the GLE, the third row is optional. The equipment in the GLS includes augmented reality for the navigation system, enhanced cabin insulation, an interior fragrance system, powered sunshades in the second row, massaging and heating for the second row, and more.

While the 2023 GLE and GLS have several similarities, their differences may determine which model is right for you. To explore these models more extensively, visit Mercedes-Benz of Milwaukee North today.
