The S 580 4MATIC's 4.0-liter V-8 biturbo with mild hybrid assistance produces 496 horsepower, while the range-topping Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance combines a handcrafted 4.0-liter V-8 biturbo engine with electric power to achieve 791 horsepower.
Performance
The S 500 4MATIC accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, while the S 580e 4MATIC achieves this sprint in 4.8 seconds and offers up to 47 miles of electric-only range. The S 580 4MATIC's 0-to-60 mph time is an impressive 4.3 seconds. Leading the lineup, the AMG S 63 E Performance boasts a 3.3-second 0-to-60 mph time and achieves 46 city/53 highway MPGe.
